
Executive Openings for next season

For the 2014/15 season, there will be a number of executive positions coming available. These open positions will be voted on at the annual meeting in April. Each of the retiring members have agreed to work with the new person to make things a smooth transition. I ask that you spend a moment to consider volunteering.
Registrar:
This person registers all players and coaches into the Ontario Ringette online system at the start of the season. They produce a TRF form that is used to show the official roster of the team. The majority of the work is done on computer in the month of September and early October. If there are changes/substitutions during the year, they are required to adjust the TRFs. Starting next year, they will also hold the police vulnerable sector checks and coaching certification documents.
Equipment Manager:
The equipment manager is responsible for assigning the team lockers, distributing the jerseys and goalie equipment and ensuring we have medical supplies/kits available. Most the work is done in late Aug and September. There is some work at the end of the season to ensure everything is returned.
Ice Scheduler:
This person assigns practice times for all teams. They also submit ice times to the league to game schedules to be set. This person's role lasts all season with a large amount of work late Sept and again in early Jan. They need to be organized to ensure even ice distribution and to work with other associations on game reschedules.
Fund Raising Chair:
The chair of the fund raising committee organizes the fall and spring fund raising event. Deal with the vendor to schedule dates and times. While it is not required, currently this person also deals with the totaling and balancing of all the orders and dealing with payment shortages/overages and order mix-ups.
