U16 Off to a Great Start
Submitted By Deb McCarthy on Sunday, October 28, 2018
The merging of two centres hasn't phased the Rotary Club U16 team.  The players from Seaforth and Mitchell started their season off with a vengeance winning their first two games. Spectators would never know they hadn't played together as a team before.

Mitchell-Seaforth defeated Tillsonburg on Oct. 14th with a score of 11-2 and Elora-Fergus on October 28th, 4-1.  On Sunday in Fergus, the home team opened the scoring half way through the first period, but the visitors soon found their groove and shut them out defensively after that. Jenna McClure opened the scoring for Mitchell-Seaforth, with Samantha McCarthy adding a second during the opening period.  Both goals were assisted by Laura McCarthy.  During the second, McClure and Caitlin McKercher added two more to round out the scoring for the visitors, with Bri Cook earning an assist.
