Two More W's for U16s this Weekend
Submitted By Deb McCarthy on Monday, November 05, 2018
The U16 team scored a dozen goals, defeating both Goderich and Kitchener, during weekend play.  On Saturday, they played a home game in Seafroth against the Goderich Ice Crushers.  U16 came out on top, winning by a score of 6-3.  Goals for the home team were scored by Jenna Regele (2), Caitlin McKercher, Jenna McClure, Laura McCarthy and Wendy Campbell.  Assists on these goals were credited to McClure, L McCarthy, Emma Goetz, Campbell, Maya Belfour and Bri Cook.

The U16 team travelled to Kitchener on Sunday night where Bri Cook was brave enough to take position between the pipes, with regular goalie Amberleigh Dearing feeling under the weather.  Cook earned a shut out as the visiting team won 6-0.  Regele, McKercher, L McCarthy, McClure (2) and Campbell all found the net to earn points on the scoreboard, while L McCarthy, McKercher, and Belfour earned the assists.
