Submitted By Deb McCarthy on Wednesday, February 13, 2019
The Mitchell Seaforth U16s continued their winning streak the past two weekends as they defeated Elora-Fergus 6-0 on Feb. 3rd on home ice in Mitchell.  Another win followed on Feb. 10th in Mitchell as they edged Kitchener 6-2.  Bri Cook opened the scoring for the home team with Jenna McClure and Emma Goetz each adding one during the first period.  Assists were credited to Laura McCarthy and Kirsten McIntosh.  Kitchener scored twice in the first, leaving the game as a close one at the half-time mark.  Goalie Amberleigh Dearing didn't allow any more goals during the second period, while McClure, Goetz and McIntosh each scored to boost the home team to a 6-2 win.  Samantha McCarthy, L McCarthy and McClure added the helpers.
